About Us
The 4 PAWS Trust was founded by Amanda Lee Dreyer and several volunteers in the Philippi Horticulture area several years ago. The organisation developed out of pure necessity in trying to rescue and treat animals destined for "death row" in over-crowded shelters or abuse, hunger and suffering on the streets of Cape Town. With many challenges and almost zero funding, the organisation has managed to make many gains in rescuing, supporting and rehabilitating distressed animals.
